"A Trooper"
So you say you want to be a Trooper,
What do you really mean?
You want to wear a policeman's uniform,
Maybe blue or grey, but hopefully green,You say you wish to help people,
In their time of need.
You hope to stop a criminal,
Who is doing an evil deed.Well let me explain to you my friend,
That it's not an easy road.
With it comes much honor and respect
And you will carry a heavy load.Long hours of work are required
Away from the ones you love.
And sometimes your only hope
Will be from God above. You will have to be highly trained
And be all that you can be.
You will have to take on the world
And see all that you can see.Although the load you must carry,
At times will be hard to bear.
Along will come that special time,
Someone will be thankful you were there. So strive - work hard
And prove you have the heart.
For Troopers, every one,
Play a very important part. So, you say you want to be a Trooper,
I know exactly what you mean.
There is no better feeling in the world
Than the one you will have wearing green.
