Being awake all
day, the pain makes me weep
On most days, I can't wait till I am asleep.
When I am asleep, all my problems subside
what I used to be, I am once again inside.
I run I play,
my daily tasks are a breeze
I don't have any fear when I have to sneeze.
But when I awake, reality sets in
cause the 10 minutes it takes for my morning grin.
The simplest
things become the hardest to do
from sitting down in a chair to tying my shoe.
When I am asleep, there is no pain to be had
When I think of my accident, I get really mad.
I gave up my
life for a 10 dollar bag of DOPE
And as every day goes by, I lose my hope.
I chose to be one of New York's Finest, But this wasn't my plan
to give up my life, and my health as the s**t hit the fan.
The choice
wasn't up to me, I must tell
Now I am living my life in hell.
So when I am asleep, I am happy and pain free
So as I sleep, it feels good to be me.
