The odds are never in your favor…
Chances are; you will rarely win…
There are no men or women braver…
We're fleeing now, as you boldly rush in…

The truth is; that we stand in awe…
You must have been forged by another creator…
To fight our fires and uphold this land's law…
There are forces more powerful, but none greater…

There just aren't the words to thank you…
We stand on the sidelines as mere spectators…
Watching as, time after time, you race to the rescue…
In times of strife you are welcomed gladiators…

And so: we resolutely stand and salute…
Your nation sings praises that are long overdue…
It is a song of mournful pride, sung in solemn tribute…
To our men and women of the red and the blue…

You see that we ultimately saw: the hero is in you.
