Each day as he dresses in his blues
Protect my husband Lord
Each day as I kiss him goodbye
Watch out for him Lord

As he protects others and serves his community
Protect him from harm
When he answers his calls and rescues those in need
Guide him with a swift and steady arm

And when the day is through
Bring him safely home to me
Let him trade in his uniform and gun
To arrive home the husband I need

And if the day should ever come Lord
That you feel the need to take him from me
Make sure that he knows how much I love him
That he is all I live for, breathe for, care for and need.
